And so we begin.

Our revamped website is less than a year old and it's really starting to settle in! I hope you'll take the time to explore some of our new features and the things we have to offer. Here I'll highlight just a few things you should check out!

Events

Our new events page looks so spiffy! You'll find our region events highlighted here, with easy links to register, pay registration fees if needed, and so forth.

Additionally, you'll find links to "partner events," which are events hosted by our region churches or partner organizations such as Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, Cameron Community, Greater Rochester Community of Churches, and so forth.

On a computer? Hold your cursor over one of the events listings at the top and see what happens!

Region Priorities

ABCRGR delegates have established three priorities for the 2023-2025 biennium: Anti-Racism, Mental Health, and Eco-Justice. Each of these will have a section of our website (still being built at this time). When you click on Region Priorities, a drop-down menu appears with each of these. Selecting one will take you to a page that looks like this. As our work in these areas continues, there will be more resources, events, and discussion happening.

Classes

We're now hosting our own online classes! Currently available for registration is Baptist Polity which, while required for ordination or recognition, is open for anyone interested in learning more about our Baptist history and heritage. A class on the Practice of Sabbath-Keeping is in the works for the spring, and other classes will be made available soon.

And there is so much more--this blog, for example! And stay tuned for livestream events, group discussion forums, and other elements in development. Our ministry has just expanded!

Visit www.abcrgr.org and see what's new. We know you'll find this freshening interesting and useful!

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We acknowledge with respect the various native peoples on whose ancestral lands we worship. We encourage every member of our community to learn about the original inhabitants of this land. We are committed to cultivating meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities in our region and supporting their efforts to fight systemic racism that continues to harm them. We pledge to listen to and honor them as they speak about their experiences regarding oppression and cultural genocide. They are the authorities on their own history and our role in that history. To acknowledge this land is to recognize and respect that the air, water, land, and all that inhabits them are intertwined with the spirituality of these people.
